Experience

I attended Ashland University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Science Education. I have always had a great passion for learning, and that has morphed into a love of teaching, as well. While working as a high school teacher at a top Ohio high school, I earned my master's degree in School Counseling from Xavier University. I have a good deal of experience tutoring in math and language arts, as well as helping students study for standardized exams such as the PSAT, ACT, SAT, and others. With my education and experience in both education and counseling, I find that I am able to work really well in one-on-one tutoring with students of all different types. I quickly build a trusting relationship, so I can get to know them enough to work with them in a style that is most conducive to their learning, so they can achieve their academic goals. I am available to tutor all basic elementary subjects, and also middle school and high school subjects such as grammar and syntax, essay writing, critical reading, preparing for tests, and math and science subjects, as well. I my free time, I enjoy soccer, cooking, and watching movies.
